Full credit for this mod goes to ShadyRascal. I've considered swapping the front fender from my '03 YZ450F to my DR for some time but the YZ fender is much longer so I figured it would hit the frame and never tried it...until I saw it on SR's bike. The swap only took 30 mins or so and I like the more aggressive look of the fender. It does require some slight modification though. The fender is from a 2003-2009 YZ450F and costs $20-30 depending on where you get it.

The mounting holes for the YZ fender have the same width as the DR but the distance from the rear holes to the front measure 65mm where the DR mounting holes are only 60mm. It's just plastic so this is an easy fix...just elongate the front holes closer to the rear with an 11/32" (9mm) drill bit. Don't modify the rear holes, you'll see why in a minute.

As previously mentioned the YZ fender is longer so to keep it from hitting the frame, you'll have to shim the rear fender bolts with a pair of washers on each bolt. I opted to install some longer mounting bolts as well. You'll also have to relocate the speedo cable bracket if you still have it installed.

The two washers gave me a decent amount of clearance between the fender and oil cooler guard.

Here's the final product. More pictures of SR's machine here: http://drriders.com/topic9340.html

...compared to the stock fender.

Looks good !

Blue seems to be a good match too. I fitted the newer model YZ fender to mine, but had to go with white as the blue wasn't available then. Mine is otherwise the same colour as yours. The newer fender is a lot stiffer with the extra ribs in it's shape. Stops more mud flinging up than the stock fender too !

Heres a pic - not a particularly good one, but you get the idea.

Looks good Steve! One of the main reasons I was willing to steal the fender off my YZ is because I want to install the fender you have ('10+ YZ) on the YZ. At $20-$30, it's a fairly cheap mod so I may end up getting one for the DR as well if the current YZ fender isn't adequate.

I think a bit of trimming is needed on the rear section to not starve the aircooled head of clear airstream which can mean trouble under circumstances.

I did consider modifying the fender a little, but the width of the YZ fender is 50mm less in the front and 25mm less in the back. It's also not shaped like a shovel in the front so my guess is the air flow will still be pretty good and the DR engine won't care. The stock DR fender does have some nice vent slots in the rear of the fender that I may try to copy to the YZ fender.

I Have a black WR 450 fender that I'm thinking to install on DR by the way it fits with some washers for clearance....... Question Suzuki makes a Black rear fender?

DSA and OEM are available in black...though I don't know if you have find the rear fender for sale in black outside of a full plastics kit.
