This subject has been hit on before but I thought to bring it up again.

I'm on about my 5th configuration of handlebars. Currently I am testing (7/8") Renthal '666' desert bars.
I do have the lowered footpegs from Procycle and am trying to get a set up that works sitting and standing.
My last setup was great sitting but made me lean to far forward when standing - OTB territory.

I was wondering what everybody else is using? Stock/Aftermarket, Fatbars, risers etc. etc.
Does it work sitting and standing?

Currently using a ProTaper 7/8 KX Hi bar which is a huge improvement over stock... but I think I'd like to change over to a fat bar to clear up the extra clutter of the crossbrace.

I installed a set of Moose Racing Carbon Steel :pleasantry: "KX Hi-bend" handlebars. They are wider and taller than the stockers but I like them. :pleasantry: I also installed some heated grips from Dual Star as well. BAD ASS!!!

I'm also using the ProTaper 7/8 KX High bars. The High bars in combination with ProCycle lowered footpegs seems to work really well for me. However, it does get a little cluttered up front by the time you add handguards, and a GPS.

Thats 3 for "ProTaper 7/8 KX High bars" or Moose Racing Carbon Steel "KX Hi-bend" handlebars. Start of a consensus?
I'll need to find the dimensions for those bars and compare them with mine. Anybody on DRRiders got a different opinion  LOL!

Ask & you shall receive

Pro Taper Contours Windham bend
Rox Risers
Procycle lower pegs + Pivotpegz
Scotts steering damper mounted on Scotts Uni Mount (UM-6) under the bars

I'm 6'2". The above combo has given me a better (more upright and therefore more relaxed) standing outcome than my KTM 640Adv and R1200GSA which both have bar risers. My ride destinations take me thru fast sandy desert tracks many hundreds of miles per outing... hardly ever see or do single trail work.

Pics to follow

Hello Crawford~Vegas if you do change bars can you let us know how you
go with fitting ect as i need new bars, my oem ones are not quiet what
they were  but apart from that have never changed a set so i am
a little wary of getting caught with a complicated changeover, and it
doesn't take much to confuse me :nea:

I went to ProTaper ATV mid bend bars last year. Loved the slightly more elbows-out position. I am adding a 1" riser this year though - arms don't have much bend when standing (5'11" with standard foot peg location).
