I just installed a ProTaper CR-HI fat bar. It is a little taller and wider than stock but will most likely not allow me to stand fully straight. I am 6'1". So far I like it but have not been able to fully test it out on the trails. I will either add a 1" riser or drop the pegs or both. I'm kinda thinking to move towards the new Pivot Pegs and lower them at the same time and then if that doesn't do it add the bar risers.

Does anyone know what the height and pull back of the stock handlebars are?

Yes, I had seen this, but it lists the geometries of all aftermarket handlebars, and I am interested in the geometry of the stock handlebar so I can have a baseline to know what to look for. How can one select a handlebar based on metrics when one does not know what the metrics are for the handlebars that are currently installed on the bike?

A-ha, that's what's actually on the DR?

Suzuki OEM Bend 32.04" 3.11" 2.32"

Thanks! Yes, that's exactly what I had been looking for!

After switching out my bars this weekend I do not think the Suzuki OEM bars referenced in the chart are the Suzuki DR650 bend. Rough measurements of my OEM take-offs are 32.5" wide 5.625 rise and 3.875 pull back.
A Raptor bend might be pretty close to the OEM DR 650 bend.

I changed the stock bars on my '09 to ProTaper Evo CR high bend fat bars in black. The only challenge was getting the ProTaper bar clamps aligned since you need to use the stock bolts thru the rubber isolators and they are undersized compared to the ProTaper bolts in the kit. It wasn't difficult to square them up once the bars were snugged up in the clamps... just loosen the clamp bolts to the top triple clamp and align them... then retorque. I wondered if the bar vibration would be higher without the stock bar end weights (which won't fit in the Evo aluminum bars). However, I have ridden about 200 miles the past two weekends in the warm January weather we've had in Indiana and vibration is no issue for me. Next project will be heated grips to keep the winter riding season going! :drinks:
