Hmmm, I'll have to take a closer look at the map they provide. It's crazy they just don't list every country that has installs (or maybe they do but I haven't figured out the sequence of operation to extract that particular data)....

just wondered if there has been any traction on that offer from rkdF250 to help make your "My DR605" app iPhone compatible? or any other action on the iGizmo compatibility front...

I'm guessing that is a big job, but just adding another vote to say it'd be really great if it could happen :s_smile

From what I have read it's highly unlikely that I will be developing an ios app. There is about zero cross-platform usability between ios and android (objective-c and Java) languages. Basically an entire new app would need to be developed. They just don't make it easy to be an ios developer. Maybe trying to keep us backyard/garage/shed developers away from their elite product? :sarcastic:

given their latest stance on the specs/price front I may reverse course and this DR app may well be that final tipping drop

yep it really sucks, Apple is trying to own the world.. what they do with Itunes pisses me off..I don't buy music there.

I'm stuck w/Macs for my job and video editing tho..

mxrob, thanks anyway, appreciate you informing us iPeople about the status of your app. Here's hoping things change down the road to where there can be simpler overlap between iOS and Android apps :whistling:

You buy iOS in order not to mess with it at all. Peace of mind overpaid as an Apple service.
If you intend to spend time poking the thing, you get Android. But you can never be fully in a peace of mind state.
No real alternatives at this time and enough poking around for me through the years with these stuff.
