Hey Heavy
I was supposed to be down your way earlier last week looking at a couple of KLR's but the DR was calling my name( and the dude dropped $600 from the price). I always thought the DR was a much finer machine anyways having spent time previously riding both. Will give you a shout if I head down that way when the snow melts or I might have a conference sometime in May at the Notaswaga inn or something like that ? Have been there before a few years ago. Big Ontario tech teachers conference, it was a hoot!
Take Care
Rod

Hi Eric,
You thought you were going to sneak you first post in the Canada section and nobody would notice? :s_biggrin
Welcome to DRRiders! :howdy:
Carp? I had to read back through the thread to see if somebody mentioned fishing. They didn't. But thanks to Wikipedia, I assume you are talking about Carp, Ontario?

My home has been the "Racing Capital of the World", the "Circle City", the "Crossroads of America", Indy for most of my life.

Actually, I am just southwest of there about five miles.

Carp!!!!
Heck any Cold War Aficionado knows where that is!
For all you Yanks, that's where our King and Queen along with our President was gonna hide in case those darn commies sent a missile our way.
Had to have some fun with that Eric. I live in the south end of Ottawa. I'm thinkin on trying to get a few guys together for a run up around the K and P when the weather gets warm. Will post if your interested. :drinks:

Hardy Hardy Har Har then

So whats a Doodle Dandy doing in the universe of serious riding, and whats he say! cross roads darn thats about the size of it too

Maybe if he can get a ride on a tractor trailer up to the serious stuff we may let him tag along behind :dirol:

So now we have the polite conversation done with we can just put our helmets on and wait till the warm weather hits, I think next weekend will be finally above zero and I know a sweet new Cyber Cafe with amazing baking and high test coffee on the way to K & P, or on the way home.

Be kind to your Kin down there in stars and strips country
Catch up here soooon with all the crazy Canucks and immigrant Brits in the greater Ottawa area.

An Ottawa rider checking in, just for the record. I just traded my '08 KLR for a 2010 DR. Only got a couple of hundred miles on it so far. Anxious to get that damed break-in period over with. Gonna be a bitch this time because I'm out of town at the moment and returning for some knee surgery in mid-August.

On a lighter note, there are LOTS of farkles on their way :s_biggrin

We Ottawa area riders may have to get together for a ride to visit Heavy in Barrie some day.
