It's only paranoia and hoopla until it happens to you...

No, 18.5k miles on '08...PC countershaft seal retainer installed at 18.5k as well so it should stay that way.

6k hard miles with a 14t cs. Still intact, but now held by a BD retainer.

No 25000km on the clock, I've done the last 10000km and 4-5 oil changes.

This was in response to the question: I wonder how many we've had out of all the members here - in this thread topic6555.html

Not paranoia, just trying to get an idea of how many. I'm getting a retainer in any case. For the price, it's cheap peace-of-mind..

NO --- 1996 DR650, 33,000 miles

NO --- 2005 DR650, 5500 miles (crashed and rebuilt, then sold with salvage title)

NO --- 2006 DR650, 47,000 miles ... this is my current bike, all good so far! :howdy:

Add to this the seven DR650's in my riding group. These range from 2001 to 2010. No blown CS seals I've heard about over the last
7 years riding with these guys. One guy did have a blown motor ... right after a back door shop did a "rebuild" and overbore kit.
