Heat definitely makes all the difference. It's also now a lot tighter than it was before, I was assuming the seams would line up with the edges of the foam, but it is overlapped over the front a couple of inches or so now.

Experience is a good teacher, but forums like this one do make life easier... :good:

Glad you got it sorted out, great job it looks nice. I am glad to pass on my troubles to help out the next guy, that's what it's all about.

You won't regret it. Make sure when you order it online to mention you're a member of DRRIDERS and they will knock off the shipping charge. Comes out to be about $15. I got mine last October and they still honored the deal. :drinks:

I am thinking about getting one. I usually sit at the front but have to scoot back to get a bit more comfortable. Is the front a lot better than stock?

Unfortunately...No, it is not.

Well I have to chime in.
I bought me a new DR 650. I took it on a ride of about 4 hrs. My butt was shredded after about 2hrs on the stock seat. I really didn’t want get back on, but I had some distance to travel. I overnighted and had the same experience on the way back.

Mt Seat Concepts conversion arrived and was fitted.

Today I did a 4 hr. ride. Magic. No probs. Very happy.

BTW - My other ride is a GL1800.

I prefer the seat cover with new foam from Procycle. It is a DIY , cost $165, takes about 1 hour total and to me has a much more professional look to it.
