Did you ride it, look at it, work on it, wash it...mod it, change the oil or gearing add a rack or panniers, change tires etc. or nothing at all?

I added a AdMore Lighting LED Light Bar - Mini Lite Bar with Running, Brake, and progressive Turn Signals; Oxford Micro Clock / Temperature Gauge for Motorcycles; and SW-MOTECH mirror wideners for right-threaded M10 mirrors all from twistedthrottle.com to my bike. Next up is a set of VisionX Solstice 10 Watt LED Lights from procycle.com

I took my DR and TS and parked them in their new home, a 16 x 24 wired, headed, insulated shop We are moving and found a house with a shop, a huge selling feature for me. No more driveway repairs

I took my Grand Cherokee and trailer to work to pick up my DR650 because it failed to start after work. That was a first with 3 DR650s. It started at first and then I turned the choke down too quickly and it died, never to fire again, not even with the flooded engine procedure. It was about 40 to 45 degrees out and the bike had been out all day. I had been noticing that it had been cranking progressively longer before it would fire and run for awhile. I have not had time to get to it yet but my assessment is this: 1) 10%-needs new spark plugs. the old ones have 11,000 miles on them. 2) 90%-Carburetor needs cleaning, especially the pilot jet. The bike sits for 2 or 3 weeks occasionally either due to really bad weather or because I'm riding my Versys instead. I haven't used fuel stabilizer in the DR, so the carb probably progressively built up resin/crud, especially in the pilot jet which would affect the lower rev range. It happened so gradually that I didn't realize it was happening. Getting stranded after work is a good wake-up call though. With clean carb jets, I do believe it will start immediately after hitting the button, just as it did when new.

I also patted the seat and told her we'd be out there soon. I was supposed to head out with a few of my buddies that have KLRs to the KLR Desert ride in Death Valley but had to work. They only had 70 degree days and TONS of riding. Arg...
