tw42 rear was bald at 3500 miles.
tw41 front is about 70% gone at 5400 miles so I would say it is going to be at the end my comfort range at about the 6500 mile mark.

During the winter, mix was about 90% pavement.

Now that nicer weather is here, I mounted 700's to handle the muddy forest roads around here.
I'll be putting these 705's back on in the fall. I can probably get another 2,000 out of these.

Shinko 700's have about 3K on them and the rear looks half used up or so. Front is doing much better as it should.

how do you people get so many miles out of your rear tire?. I have 7100 miles on my 13 dr650 and I just put on my 3rd rear tire. I am running manufacturer suggested single rider 25 psi.

I have over 9,000 miles on my stock trail wings. I will be out of nubs in the center before I get down to the wear indicator. At first the center reer went pretty fast then it just seemed to last for ever. I gave in today and ordered some Shinko 244's.

+1 haha, that last bit of rubber is awesome, I've been meaning to get new ones too, but they just keep going I'm at about 9000 now too or more... I don't think I've seen any wear from 8000 to 9000 at all... I keep waiting for the center tread to go away, but nope!

It'd be a 100,000 mile tire if they used that bottom stuff for the whole tire.

I know there are varied opinions about this, but have you balanced your tires?
I have had amazing results with balancing beads, especially in knobbies. They are easy to install and you don't have to worry about them. If you put them in heavy duty tubes, you could probably get about 15,000 miles out of them between a couple rear tires.

I am currently experimenting with Rideon, which was recommended to me by DRV. It seems to balance just the same.

YES, always... Lead blob on spoke... Not sure if it adds life, but its makes it smoother, especially at 70+. I've got 9k+ on the way to 10k so it might matter?
