Hmm . . . it is interesting to see that the majority of riders are 40-59 years old.

My own situation is that I hadn't ridden a bike since my mid-twenties. Back then, it was dirt bikes at the local sand pit or quarry. Never had a license - or for that matter owned a bike - always rode a friend's 250, 2-stroke, Honda as I remember.

Sooo - what do I do 54th birthday - go buy a TW200, of course! Makes sense to any rational human being. Found it wasn't quite what I was looking for so I acquired the DR650. Makes even more sense to the otherwise rational human being.

After close to 1,200 miles of riding both bikes since October 1 of '15, Thursday, I go to BMV and take my motorcycle test!

Who'd a thunk it?

Never had a dual sport before, in the last 9 yrs I put on 150k miles on 500 lb litre bikes. I suck on dirt but I'm a very good, fast street rider, so why change, because It's about time and I knew it. I still wanted to ride so what should I get, a scooter, no friggin' way, a 250 like the rebel, my ego wouldn't let me, the DR400 dirt or motard, I couldn't see the ground much less reach it. Then I sat on a DR650, perfect!! I bought a heavily modified '15 a couple of weeks ago and started my street conversion, after all, this bike is only for going to Peet's to pick up some coffee beans.
My 3rd bike was a brand new 1965 Triumph Bonneville, megaphones and 9" risers, I was King sh*t!! LOL!!
Currently I'm waiting for my Leo Vince's, K&N filter, jet kit, and considering ape hangers (just kidding), somethings never change, hahahahaha!!
Looking forward to joining the 0% group!!
