going to put intiminators and eibach straight rate springs in my ride seems to be a much eaiser install than the emulators heard good things about both but are there any cons with the intiminators or will iget the same result i know there more expensive but the eaiser install will make the difference up...should i go with the .47 springs or a heavier one i weigh 200 naked so i dont want to undershoot my springs

I can't comment on the emulators but I just installed the intiminators and .47 springs on my bike this weekend. Really easy, took maybe an hour and a half, and I have never taken forks apart before or even had them off the bike. I also weight 200 lbs. I have converted to supermoto, for my uses on the street this fork setup seems to be working really well (for the few days I have had installed so far). Brake dive is reduced quite a bit. There is still some but thats ok, you don't want to completely eliminate brake dive, the bike would be strange to drive if the weight didn't shift forward some. Bumps and potholes are of no concern with the intiminators, you barely feel them. I originally wanted to go with .50 springs but through a trade deal I aquired the .47 and they seem to be just about right. I have an eibach 7.6 on the rear shock.

I can't comment on how the setup would work offroad in the rough stuff.

I thought my seat height would be lower after the supermoto setup, but with the new stiffer suspension going on at the same time as supermoto wheels, seat height seems about the same, probably even a bit higher. I haven't installed the short side stand that I purchased, and don't see a need to.

Above is a thread I started on the same topic, in the 'general discussion' area. There was some good feedback there regarding emulators vs Intiminators. My take on what people said was that the Emulators and straight rate springs (sized for you and your load) are the best setup for off road, and the Intiminators are a better on-road setup, with straight rate or progressive springs. By no means a consensus! Obviously most people go one way or the other, so it is hard to get a 'comparison' result. You might want to just start with different springs before 'springing' :whistling: for the Intiminators/ Emulators, as the spring change is said to be the majority of the improvement. Good luck!

Gearsmasher, can you give us a follow up ride report on the suspension changes?
