Last year I decided to do something about my suspension on my 93 DR. The wife rides on the back allot and we ride off road so you can imagine with two heavy riders we were always bottoming out. The info on the fork springs from Progressive (11-1506) from the Zen site was invaluable. I am still dialing in the fork spacers a bit but there is no more bottoming on the front end with those springs that I had installed last year. This year I decided to try to do something about the rear shock after the seal blew last year. Suzuki did not show the rear shock as rebuildable so I got really nervous. I found a guy that is a rep for Race Tech Suspension here in Utah that rebuilt it for me. Here are the parts:
SRB D KYB Rebuild Dirt KYB Shock 95.00T
SKBO 144255 Bottom Out Bumper 14mm Kayaba 19.99T
SKSH 4014 Shock Seal Head KYB 40x14x22mm 65.99T
ASF 19 EMERALD Absinthe Suspension Fluid 19 cSt... 7.80T

He said the 40 X 14 is pretty standard. Haven't had the wife out in the dirt yet to try it but looks good so far.

Re- rear shock seal failure. Has anyone built/fabricated a heat shield for the exhaust near the rear shock?
