The only one on that list I have a problem with is the amount of oil with a filter change. I know its taken from the manual, so I cant fault the information, but the real world amount is closer to 2 quarts, not 2.5. Anyone care to chime in on that? But I think if we want to avoid the dreaded "weeping", stick with 2 quarts (or even 2 liters cause thats like 2.10 quarts).

I think it would be prudent to cross check all of this info prior to stickying this one. I love the idea, don't get me wrong, but I think we owe it to ourselves to check out the info for accuracy before we consider it fact. If anyone has time to cross check please feel free to check this against the DR service manual. I will also do the same. From what I saw so far it looks pretty darn accurate. :drinks:
Thanks for taking the time to post this Irish. :good:

Here's a list sorted by torque, faster for me because I can keep incrementing the wrench, working on doing a sort by socket size.

"Oil – 2.5 qt w/ filter (10w-40)"

I know it says it but I wouldn't do that.... :s_no (2.5qt)

Two quarts at oil and filter change time brings the oil level just over half way between the safe oil level marks on the side cover. 2.5 qts over fills your engine and cause more stress on oil seals plus adds to carry-over into the air box.

Ditto. I just did my DRs first oil & filter change, and 2 liters (2.11 quarts) was perfect.

I will have to look into that one, the clutch side cover bolts are 7ft pounds. I would guess they are going to be the same, as they are doing the same thing, but it's just an educated guess.
