I got mine off ebay Go Fast Powersports, LLC Great customer service, he mailed me and emailed a copy of my sales receipt so I could warranty my bad EVO2. He also offered to just replace the bad one but I opted to go the warranty route to see if Ballistic was for real or not.

Might want to just direct call this guy and bypass Ebay to see if he will cut you a deal. This guy is awesome.

Called them and I was told, they can do $139.95 Shipped if we go to them directly. If only we had a vendors section, or a place where we can list all the deals we can get, that would be nice.. Wow, I guess I hooked you guys up cause I paid $144 shipped. Again I can't stress enough that these guys where a pleasure to deal with and that price is the same as the shorai. Easy decision in my book.

So for you guys with this battery, can you really tell a difference by losing that 8-10 pounds under the seat? Seems like it should be noticeable, but in what way did you notice it the most? handling? acceleration? Just moving the bike around, like when you are getting on it or pushing it in your garage, etc?
I guess maybe the weight difference isn't so much one item, but weight savings over multiple things you do to the whole bike, like we discussed in the "weight loss" thread.

Well I removed the battery box and all the mounting hardware which was at least 2lbs on top of the difference in battery weights. It is a cummulative effect of all items making it much easier to handle. IMHO

I noticed weight savings all around... handling, rough terrain, flicking through twisties, etc. But it really came in handy when I dropped the bike all by my lonesome out in the boonies... I was able to pick it up by myself despite my physical handicaps. That makes it worth every penny and the effort installing it... priceless! Btw, a performance update: I've had no trouble whatsoever with the battery so far. It starts the bike fine in 20 degree temps, just a little slower cranking speed. The voltmeter continuously reads around 13.80v, and 13.20v with the lights on regardless of rpms. That's with the wye-to-delta stator mod, regulator is still stock. One night I accidently left my twin halogens on (I know, stupid!) and the next mornng the battery was drained completely. I push-started the bike (fired right up) and all it took was riding it down to the road and back 1/4 mile to charge the battery enough to start on it's own. That's a pretty fast re-charge in my book! All in all having the battery for several months now I can say I'm more than happy with it and I feel safe in recommending the EVO2 to anyone who is considering it.
