I got this as a gift a few weeks ago, during which time I've been assessing the strong and weak points of this light.
In its favor, are the facts that installation is absolutely foolproof, and VERY easy, as well as the WTF? this is a WEIRD lookng light factor. The high beam spot pattern is awesome as well for night riding and with an HID is STUPIDLY bright. The other good thing is, in conjunction with my Spitfire winscreen, it provides a nice flow of air into my jacket at speed, however it isnt an overflow of air, just enough to be pleasant in the FL heat.
Going against it are two major things, which displease me substantially. Firstly, the lack of adjustment screws to aim the lights, its just a set of interlocking pieces of plastic on the upper mount, offering only crude adjustments at best.
Secondly, and this is far more frustrating to me. the projector for the low beam, REALLY sucks. I mean its great if you want a broad 180 degree flood pattern for slow offroading, but for any kind of streetable riding, forget it. HID only makes it worse. my solution (until my LED driving light comes in), is to simply ride with my high on at night.
overall, I'd call it a good headlight, but not outstanding by any means. not til the projector is improved immensely.
