I was running the Acerbis SM fender-right up until the first good rainstorm. I've got a YZ450 fender on there now. Same look, better coverage - 'nuff said.

supermoto fenders are for SUPERMOTO'S!!!!!

those of you with a 21" front wheel and a sumo front fender are idiots! theyre for a smaller wheel/tire, thats why your getting mud in your face!

AND they look retarded as hell with your stock 21" wheel!

Yeah! ...and RM250 front forks are for RM250's, and gsxr cans are for gsxr's, and fcr's are for real dirt bikes!!!

I have to agree, I think the sm fender over a 21" wheel looks kind of weird, but that's why we all have our own dr650's! We can build them the way WE want and not have to worry about being criticized over it right? right? :drinks: No need to be like dat mon.

I'm also running the Acerbis SM front fender with a 21" wheel. While I agree that it DOES look a bit goofy, the lack of 'headshake' at highway speeds far outweighs what I think of anyone's biased opinion on the aesthetics of my bike. To each their own (opinions included).

I know this has been digested previously but I cut my OEM fender down 2.5" and polished the edges to smooth out the bandsaw kerf marks. It cut down on the wind steer and still keeps the mud out of my face.
