I dont see a problem with using just Krylon and clear coat with some rustoleum. Yeah, if it flakes off after a year, I am going to spend another $10, big deal.

How does it look after painting over the flaking? :s_dunno

After I couldn't get the paint job to not look like utter shite I contacted my local Line-X dealer. He quoted me at 150 for all the parts, front and back on the plastics to seal it in and the show part of the tank. Also asked him about painting over it in a different color. He said he had done it multiple times to his line-x'd YFZ450 and to use a plastic specific paint and clear coat. I figure if I don't like the black I can go the orange route. Also said to keep a can of clear coat laying around in case it starts looking dull in parts and just give it a quick spot spray.

Hopefully, I'll have my parts back by lunch and maybe take an early day tomorrow.

I'll take some tonight after work and get them up on photobucket. She looks mean, even more mad max-ish than before.

Sorry it took so long to post but here they are. Also she won't start right now, getting fuel but just keeps turning over without actually starting until the battery is dead. Any ideas?
