Hey all, Been a "lurker" here for quite some time getting info and just squeezed the trigger on a new 11 DR650. Even did the very first mod by taking off the top roller. Havent ridden any dirt since 2007, since then it had been strictly street. Anyway, first project is the suspension and gas tank. We'll see where it goes after that. Well, really stoked to finally have her and glad to be off lurker status, but...still a noob

Its good to be here. Forgot that NorCal is a large area, Im located in Mt View if anyone wanted to get in on a ride. Also, cant take credit on doing the suspension first, probably got the idea reading one of your posts but ill take the compliment anyway. Try with springs first and then go with intiminators/emulators if it isnt to my liking.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride. Everyone knows the white ones are lighter and cooler. Although I've heard the black ones are faster, and the blue ones are.....ummmm....bluer?

You got it all wrong...the white ones are the brightest, the black ones are the coolest and the blue ones are hands down the fastest. P.S. The yellow ones are the Suzukiest. I may have just invented a new word there. OH ya, welcome to the board Blue-8. See even he knows that since he^^^^ has Blue in his name.

It has only been one day and already Im making my wife crazy. Ive been in and out of the house all day adjusting the brake levers down, the shock(well as much as i can), disabling the kick stand/clutch kill switches, passenger pegs. Talking to my wife about dr this and dr that and explaining why I "need" a different gas tank, springs, etc. Kinda making her a little crazy..speaking of which, Im gonna go hide the pistol And btw, everybody knows the white one is the fastest
