Hmmm, Gotta love innovation right? That crank, tranny and clutch mass mounted higher in the frame seems a bit dubious when it comes to center of gravity though. It would be very interesting to see how they plan on controlling oil scavenging for the pistons. :?

My first thought was "its going to smoke every time your start it". My second thought was "the crankshaft mass is almost on top of the front tire". It wasn't until I read some of the comments that I even noticed it was high. Since most everything I have seen recently in performance motorcycle engine design has been geared toward getting more weight on the front wheel I just wonder how much weight these guys have managed to get on the front tire. Maybe this is more important than keeping the CG low in the chassis.

Husaberg also shifted the center of gravity up in their new engine-design and were widely praised for the result. Completely inverting the arrangement of engine block and cylinders is outstanding at the least. I´d be curious about oil-consumption and other technical problems as well. How do they seal the engine to keep oil from drowning the combustion chambers? And so on ... But I agree that such thinking out of the box is the way that might lead to real improvements in a world where marketing celebrates the smallest steps already.
