Can someone please send me a picture of their rear brake lever. (97 0n) Mine has bent outwards and i need to see what it looks like normally. It was only a walking pace dismount but one of the footrest mounting bolts has also bent..A photo from above and one at eye level from the side would be great. Thanks. Also as i did metalwork about 30 years ago can i get away with heating it up and bending it or do i need to quench it in oil or water as well?

Better to work it off the bike. Heat it up to a red glow and use a hammer on an anvil or vise. Quenching in water probably won't matter much but some types of steel will become brittle.
Sorry don't have a pic, but I modded my brake lever to make it easier to catch with my boot when riding rough terrain... I don't think it matters if it's exactly the same as 'stock' as long as you can get to it readily.
