Hi all, I like the idea of a DR specific site, and I figure the only way for this to take off is for people to contribute...so, here I am. :howdy:

Thought I'd throw out some pics for those who haven't seen em on TT or ADV...

She's a '05, started out blue and been through a few makeovers in her life. Had a nasty bike vs. deer crash at the end of Sept. that put an end to my riding season, so I need to replace a few things that got busted (bike fared better than I did...just finally got back to work this week, still in a lot of pain)...also have some goodies coming in the mail (springs, emulators, aux lights)...I'll be more than ready for spring!

Welcome!
Deer and farm implements around the next curve are my 2 greatest "concerns" for the type of roads that I like.
Glad that you are doing better!

Nice "convertible" arrangements. Glad you're recovering......

Thanks for the compliments and the well-wishes guys! Made it through my first week back to work (barely)...its SOOOO Miller time!

BTW Rob, I ended up passing on that guys used FCR I had been asking you about (looked like some shoddy work)...but I still see one in my future.

Welcome, Foxfire! Thanks for the pics! :good: How do you like the Clarke tank? I'm thinking of getting a plastic tank for increased off road work, but I've heard the fit and finish of the IMS are lacking. The Clarke looks so much better (IMO) despite it's smaller capacity vs. the IMS.

Good deal... yeah, it's best to pass on the carbs with the "farm tractor treatment" whenever possible.

Yeah, he had "OBO" in the add...so I made a decent offer. He shot back with a price HIGHER than the original asking price... :nea: I wonder why he STILL hasn't sold it...

From the looks of it I had already figured I'd have to redo all the "work" he put into it. I'll probably be in touch with ya sometime soon. :good:

Fit and finish on the Clarke is great. Never likes the looks of the IMS, and really didn't need all the capacity. The Clarke gives me enough gas to ride till my butts sore enough to need a stretch. BTW, I did the math...the full Clarke still weighs less than a full stocker even with the extra capacity.
