Like I said before, I can't believe you actually looked up the size of the Ozarks. Isn't it about the same size as "San Diego County"?
I don't know, but I'm not the one enforcing a fictional location. As far as the listing requirements I suggested, at least one could point at something that made sense. If "SoCal" is sufficient, there's really no point to the rule.
I didn't say it was a problem for me...just that it means basically nothing as it can be very general or completely fictional.
Done here.
Look, I don't mean to offend you and I'm not trying to be a smartass here, but what exactly is "fictional"? The Ozarks is a real place, most people know it's the mountain range located in northern Arkansas/southern Missouri. I didn't make it up.
I'm happy to discuss any and all complaints, as I'm doing here trying to explain this as best I can. I'm just not sure what you mean by 'fictional'. Are you saying that someone could lie about their location? Because it's just as easy to say 'Chicago' when one lives in Miami... a lie is a lie.
We're just trying to get folks to give us an idea of where they live while at the same time respect their privacy. Thus 'San Diego County is good enough, as is The Ozarks, SoCal, NorCal, West Texas, The Everglades, Puget Sound, The Mojave Desert, etc.
I suppose one could be a smartass and put The West Coast, but that wouldn't help someone who lives in Seattle know the spare DR650 engine they're interested in is in Los Angeles. At least SoCal lets the Seattle guy know if he wants the engine it's gonna be some serious shipping $$$ or a weekend road trip. Which might be fun, actually... Highway 101 is a beautiful drive!

[edit] Btw Trophyhunter... if I still lived in Point Loma and saw you lived in SD County, I'd probably invite you for a ride together... see why it's a good thing?
