As the last 3 posters pointed out already : A hot plug could actually burn a hole through your piston while a (too) cold plug would only have a tendency to foul up (it wouldn't do any damage) . --- Generally the manufacturers recommendation should be heeded unless extra-ordinary circumstances demand otherwise . :whistling:
