Here is the earliest picture I can find of my 2005. I already put the rear suspension back to stock and welded a 1 1/2" piece of tubing to extend the sidestand. Before  After

my 2004 DR. i bought it with an IMS long range tank, Hyde handguards and a really LOUD pipe! i added the bashplate, a small carrier rack and some Suzuki graphics.... i still need to replace the pegs with wider ones. i replaced the D606 rear tyre with a Michelin Sirac, but for my upcoming December rides i'm going to put the D606 back. works better in the rough stuff!

The evolution of a DR... It started life as a ho-hum off the shelf blue '05 like this one:  It was then sold to a guy in Minnesota who wanted to build a sumo for his wife. He ended up with this:   Then I got my grubby hands on it:

On the day I brought it home from the dealer in October 2007:  "How do you start this thing? . . . ."  As it sits today. This picture was taken in August 2011 at the OK/AR border while riding the eastern portion of the TAT.  Since the TAT I put the stock tank back on because I prefer the graphics.

Nice!  Looks a lot better with all the dirt & mud.... oh and the mods look pretty good too.
