Hey ExWrench, is that an Acerbis 5.3 tank? If so, how did you get rid of the "Acerbis" logo? Also, what YZ front fender is that? Man, I'm digging the all white! :good:

Yep, it's an Acerbis 5.3. Until the filler neck ovals out, I love everything about it except the beeg-aced Acerbis logos. I tested removing the logo, was going to take 3 minutes to make it look horrible and another 3 hours to make it look good, so I bailed on that project. I cut up some left over (I love "free" mods) white nonskid tape I had purchased for the tops of the rock sliders on a Tacoma I used to have. The tape stayed flat on the tank for a week or 2, but is starting to lift occasionally at the ends now, so . . . the 3 hour project will happen eventually :s_mad .

The fender is an Acerbis replacement for a YZ450F 2010–2015. I had to stretch 2 mounting holes, drill 2 new holes, and huck a couple of washers over the back to position it right, but it has good tire coverage and no wicked wind bobble so far.

I'm digging the all white, too :2_thumbsup: My favorite color is blue, but I have a blue Jeep and a blue truck, so the DR gets the clean, highly visible white. Hopefully, I'm less likely to be a hood ornament than I was with the factory invisi-grey road-camo color scheme.

:s_biggrin

Before I changed my 2013, I called the color "ghost grey".

A few pictures of a 2012 DR that was stock three weeks ago and is still a work in progress.
So far, 1 and 1/8 bars with risers and hand guards, JD jet kit, cut air box, twin air filter, weld grind, neutral screws wired and loctite, 6.6 acerbis, inline filter, case covers, Sargent seat, kick stand and clutch safety switches removed, output seal retainer, tires, tubes, and grease for the swing arm and linkage. Up next is suspension, exhaust and hopefully some riding in a few months!

Couldn't work it out for a few minutes, but I'm guessing fugly is bottom pic and hot is top? A bit confusing sorry for a before and after thread where the way you read is from top down, meaning that the 2nd bottom pic is usually the "after" pic

Personally I definitely prefer the top pic :2_thumbsup: (not one for the see through tank aesthetic)
