So, I visited my friend's family for thanksgiving last weekend. I took my truck and the bike hoping to get some action in the twisties. I actually did not plan for anything concrete since the whole trip was on a tentative schedule.
I am saying this before hand that I dont have many pics or videos since I was too busy having much fun.
My truck loaded up for the trip.

This is the map of the area I explored in 2 days of riding

The family had a huge backyard. Takes like 6-7 minutes on the bike to round it up completely.
Though I had SuMo wheels, I did not care. I went on and rode in the back yard for more than an hour.
Wish I had my dirt wheel set with me. (Click on links to watch video) You can see I was not going in a straight line.

The same afternoon, I got the bike out and started exploring the roads for twisties. Found some gravel road which led to this place called Ole King Cove
I dont have the pics of the gravel roads that led there but I can tell ya, it kinda sucked on the SuMo tires. Still fun though.

This place had a cemetery that had tombstones dating back to 17th century. That was truly amazing.

I got back home somehow with no reception on either of my phones. After some rest, the neighbor's daughter volunteered to show me around. She briefly explained which roads I should take to find the twisties. Went around for 20-30 minutes on the so called highways to get a general feel of the area.
After that, I dropped her off back at the home and did some riding for 3 hours and ended up in BlueRidge, GA. How I got there? beats me, I did not even touch a single highway.
A little video I took with my iPhone mounted on the handle mount (Click on the pic to see video)
Sorry for the bad quality, it was a result of the vibrations from the mount.

Stopped by a bridge I came across, after my hands started paining from all the riding

Obligatory self pic.

Some redneckness

. The girl that rode with me had this Jeep with a deer head on it painted hot pink.

And have to tell ya about this cute brat. He can put out above 100 decibels by just talking let alone yelling. Still puzzles me how he can do that.

Some observations:
1. I need to upgrade my forks as soon as possible. When taking on 'S' shaped curves, I had a hard time keeping up due to rebound from the front end.
2. Seriously need to look into rear shock upgrade if I want to ride in the dirt. My @ss was sore from a 6 mile ride in gravel with this rear shock. (I know I rode with street tires but it still was bad.)
3. The gas mileage was decent around 40 MPG.(Even with a leaky petcock) I am happy with 40 as my truck gives like 12mpg.
4. Vibrations are almost gone after the ProTaper handlebar & TrackSide hand guard upgrade.
5. The DR is pretty comfortable for a 2 up ride. Honestly it was. The girl that rode with me said she was fine with the seating comfort, and that coming from someone who rides Harleys is awesome. I did hae problems slight problems with sharp turns or having to adjust after starting to lean into curves but I am pretty sure a suspension upgrade will solve that.
6. My tires aint sh*t in wet weather. I had this "Oh sh*t, Im gonna washout" feeling everytime I hot a little rain soaked roads.
7. Need to look into rear brake upgrade. It almost completely gave up on me on day one and I rode all this with just the front brake. It just slows me down a little bit and makes a high pitched screeching sound and thats it.
8. The stock front fender I cut off by almost 3 inches was perfect even with rain or wet roads.
Thats all for now. I will add any thing else as I remember stuff.
Also will update the videos with higher quality links later. For some reason the videos wont upload to youtube from my iPhone.
