Wow! only venezuelan here in the forum!
Well im gonna start giving some fliyers of the web pague to DR owners. the sad this is that most DR & V-STORM & Yamaha XT600/660 riders here in Venezuela are goverment people, police and bodyguards... Its not a good thing because the normal people (me for example) that owne one of these bikes, we have to be careful on the street not to get stolen the bike.

troyfromtexas wich time of the year you coming???

PS: sorry if my english writing is not so good :shok:

This question is out of pure ignorance. Is there a general animosity against police/government employees? Do you mean someone might steal your DR thinking its a cop bike?

PS: You are doing just fine with your English.

mmm lets say that here not all of it but a BIG BIG part of police/government employees are criminals with police badges! they are the first to steal bikes like the DR (for there own use, spare parts, resell them in the black market, etc...) & some criminal allsow steal theme for the same reason police hate, parts, resell theme... its preety f*** up but thanks to Chavez all the damage that hes made here, we have to live like that.

Other than that, its pretty good to live here. weather is great all year long, lots of wild terrains to explore go on adventure trips go camping, etc... the only bad thing here is that, all the shity governments Venezuela's had since 1970 i think...

Well, I am from a third world country and I definitely know how far corruption can go with government employees. And dont even start with corrupted politicians and governments in general with me. :aggressive:

Regardless, it sucks big time. But, hope you have lots of fun on your DR and forget all that disturbing stuff. :drinks:

PS: Post some pics of your adventures please

Epa!

I'm also from Venezuela (Caracas). This is a great forum. Since I bought my DR, I've been visiting it almost daily.

ChonchiWest, I've seen your videos in YouTube. They're great. I would like to join your team in one of the trips you do with your big bikes.

It's been a year since ChonchiWest and Cartoonkiller wrote in this post. Hope they read it.

Cheers,

:s_thumbsup
