OK , i got the alpine stars rain pants and frogg toggs gaiters from motorcycle superstore and the first gear sierra jacket from jakewilson .com. I'm 6'3", 220# with 36" waist. I got the pants in 2XL and they fit a little tight. Not too tight but if you were wearing heavy gear they wouldn't fit over. 3XL would probably be slightly better but these work for me. I can say they do exactly what there supposed to do, and do it in style. The gaiters are a L/XL and fit my size twelves perfect. I've worn them over my work boots and my Nikes. they are easy to get on and are fully enclosed with a thick rubber sole that gives good traction. the only bitch is that they have velcro straps near the toes that work great but the ones at the ankles have buckles, that while they work good when buckled, half the buckle will fall off the strap when they aren't tight. the jacket i ordered in a 2XL also and fits pretty good. it has two real problems though. the sleeve openings have elastic in them and its not tight enough. the sleeve ends up sliding up your arm about 4" and letting a little water in. Also they should have used a waterproof front zipper. the flap that covers the zipper is held by little pieces of velcro every so often and dosen't do a good enough job. If i didn't get it at half price i would send it back. also at speed it puffs up and adds alot of drag and makes it hard to use your mirrors.

now to be fair I used this gear in a severe storm that was dumping rain at about 3" per. hr. the pants and gaiter worked flawlessly, but the jacket had its issues. still I only got a wet spot on my shirt about 8" in dia. which is really good considering i was going about 70mph. on the highway. hope you all find this helpful.

Thanks for the review...I have a similar set of rain gear but its just a jacket and pants which kept me dry in a severe downpour. I was looking for a pair of waterproof boots, but I like the Frogg Togg boot covers you mentioned. Is this what you have? If so, do you think the material on top of the boot will hold up to rubbing against the gear selector on upshifts?

So far so good. The material feels pretty tough. Only thing I can fault with them is that the buckle that goes over the top of your foot will fall off if not buckled. Luckily it fell off in my house and I was able to find it. I just used a safety pin to make sure I don't loose it. Great gainers though and would definatly buy them again. By the way you could walk in water almost to your knees and still have dry shoes.
