Hey folks.
Was wondering if anyone could tell me some places, in north LA/Ventura sorta area for a guy to get some dirt on his tires, but nothing like what real moto guys do.
I bought my DR simply because of its bulletproof reputation, minimalist controls and aesthetic, and ability to get into dirt should I ever decide to.
I’d like to know if anyone would care to share any “secret” simple trails I could get my feet wet in. No jumps or anything, just something not 100% man made, haha.
I have researched some of the ATV areas and such, but they seem to be more intense than what I’m looking for. They seem geared more for the camp, drink, and get crazy sorta crowd, when I’m more looking to ride a trail for an hour.
Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
Thank you!

You’re basically looking for unpaved roads, instead of offroad?

Like long winding hardpack or gravel roads?

Me too :2_thumbsup:

Rower Flats has some nice fire roads. Also, there's an 8 mile long fire road in Filmore if that's close to you. I forgot the name but I can find it if you're interested. It's an "up and back". Rower has more of what you're looking for. It's where I take the wife to get some seat time on her bike, and have had training classes there.

edit: The trail in Filmore is called "Goodenough Rd". ya, go figure. It's a nice, smooth dirt road that ends at a restroom and turn around
