Lots to learn... seeing how mine is in a skeleton state right now, I can only stress the importance of going through the "must do" list... and then (depending on time, money and inclination) extend your visit into the deeper nether regions of the bike...

I am not saying that you HAVE to take the bike apart... but it is easy enough and you learn a lot and can make sure that things are the way you would like them for a long time to come.

I got mine a few weeks ago and have ridden all but 10 miles until I started taking her apart and then got sick. But I work on the bike some 2 hours every day now, take most everything apart, clean it, fix some of the rust spots and improve on little things along the way. I'll start a post for that soon.

The reality is that most of the stuff you will find on here based on the "must do" list, is based on other people's experience and that is what makes forums like this, so invaluable to everyone. Lots of very nice and helpful people.

Most of it is easy and does not require rocket-surgery skills...

Most of all., though: HAVE FUN!
