Anyway, Im here to get info and ask for advice. Im having some problems with my new ride, and hope to get everything sorted out

Welcome to the forum! All I know about the Suzuki XF650 is what I've read, which is that it has the same engine as the DR650, but with dual carbs, and in a lowered frame with more street oriented features such as the fairing and body panels.

I would enjoy taking one for a spin, but I've never even seen one up close; I don't think they were ever sold in USA.

Thank you all :-)

@ThrophyHunter, Henning Kumle?? He he he... Had to google the name, and bunads came up

The XF650 is not commen in Norway, but there are a few. I know that in Germany, Spain and some european countries, the XF is quite popular. Kinda the cheaper verison of the BMW GS650 or the Aprillia 650.

All keep ya'll posted with some dirty XF pics :-) Bu for now, Im going back out to pull the starter off. I really makes a LOT of noise and funny sounds.

Hmmm, I wonder if Suzuki also cheaped out on the XF650 starter torque limiter? Your's being a 97 might eliminate any worries but if you are yanking the starter I'd check to be sure your machine has the torque limiter installed.
