I ordered 4 led turn signals and a "led flasher relay" on Amazon yesterday and now I'm looking for a alternative to the Procycle diode kit to allow the turn indicator to keep working with the led lights. I read about using 2 indicator lights instead of one but I would like to keep the indicators as is. I would buy the Procycle kit but being in Canada it would cost me about $60 with shipping. I know I could make it myself but I have never used diodes before and I'm not even sure what kind/where to buy them.

Any help?

I made one for under $2. Here's a simple wiring diagram. Be sure to heat shrink it all up nicely.

Thanks! Any idea if diodes are something you can get at the avg auto part store or where should I be looking?

Sorry, not trying to be a smart ass. I couldn't resist though.

Haha no I got you. By your diagram it looks like that diode is for a LED indicator. Is our indicators led or does that diode work for bulbs too?

A 1 amp diode should be fine for the OEM incandescent bulb as well.

Here's an affordable one, if you can wait until it's back in stock:

This Kuryakyn version is widely available and it's what I used:

Thanks. I'm going to see if I can get some diodes locally and make the bypass myself if not than I'll look into ordering something. Again being up north little items like that usually cost 3 to 4 times the amount by the time shipping is factored in.

* to give you an idea I just found that same diode kit on Amazon.ca and it's over $30CAD

I got a pack of 25 diodes for $6 locally. I just finished making the "wiring kit" so it'll be ready to install when my led signal lights come in.
