I bought a used DR that has some nice aftermarket wheels: front 19x2.5, rear 17x4.25. The previous owner set the bike up as a motard so it has street tires on it. I am looking to replace the tires with some 50/50 tires suitable for riding in Virginia. What do you recommend and why? BTW- wheels are tubeless and I prefer to keep it that way if possible.

The 19" front is your biggest limiting factor. Not a lot if any 50/50 choices in that size.

You may find out sourcing a set of stock wheels is your best bet.

You could give the Michelin Anakee Wild a chance...

They look promising!

I am sure you would like some Contiental TKCs.They are available in all sizes and are good in the dirt and street.

There are lots of choices. Those are the tire sizes that the big adventure bikes like the BMW GS1200 run.

Kenda 'Big Block' or Shinko 804/805 would be at the top of my list.

This is a Canadian Supplier, but for tires you can narrow your search to a specific size and type.

For example:

For a front 110/80-19"

https://fortnine.ca/en/motorcycle-tires ... es_-110_mn

It doesn't list every manufacture, but it at least it gives a good list of tires available.
