Udo works for Bilstein and borrowed my stock shock to use for a mock up (mostly for the mount points and length) but built a really nice Bilstein shock with adjustable compression/rebound.

Helluva ride.

He gets my vote!
Only a German could over load a bike so beautifully, with the Swiss and Austrians close behind.
In 7 years traveling all over Cent. and South America the Germans, Swiss and Austrians were always carrying WAY too much crap.
Consistently. Must be some dominant Teutonic gene ... they can't help themselves! :s_biggrin

Lightest travelers? French. Smart, resourceful and willing to do without if required. The Germans assume (wrongly) that outside Germany or EU, they won't be able to get things they need. SO WRONG! The big German girls were the worst offenders: (IE: carrying a LITER bottle of shampoo!) :fool: Like Turtles with their back packs on ... if they fell over, they'd not be able to get back up without help.

In any big city in S. America you can find the best French shampoo, quality Euro bearings of any description and, if you know how, Morphine sulphate over the counter. Also, just about everywhere you can dig out good machinists capable of making just about anything.
Go Udo Go!
