I am transporting my DR on a trailer and have beed advised to use a fork saver when tying the bike down. Trouble is, I have a fork brace so the regular fork savers you can buy are not an option. Is it okay to just secure a piece of wood between the fork brace and the fender or should I remove the brace.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
