Hello all,

I've found a x18g1x exhaust, and the seller is asking $85 + shipping. I'm curious if this is an acceptable amount. Thanks for your input.

Mash this link before you commit. The muffler you are looking at is on the long side:

Thanks for the information. I suppose this could be corrected by shorting the mid pipe. Anyone know if this has been done?

You can only go so short on the midpipe, they are generally as short as can be. Get the price down to make it worth while.

Shortening the mid pipe isn;t the answer as SCD stated they are pretty short already. Cutting the back off the muffler and refitting the end cap is what you'd have to do.

Thank you all for the replys, and information. Inlight of this, I'm going to pass on it. Seems like I'm better off waiting for the x40f0x.

The other, and more damning, issue (IMO) with the 18G1 is the increased diameter. (although I don't like the length either) Much closer to the side cover and the rear tire. :s_mad 40F0 if you can find one.... next is the 35F0 both of which have the same form, fit and finish (smaller outlet and carbon steel internals on the 35F0). After that it's the 24F0 and 29F0's that have the correct diameter but are longer and weight more yet than the 35F0.
