Hey guys,

I've built many things to where everyone usually only see's the finished product but with the purchase of my new (to me) DR, I felt it would be nice to document the build. Who knows, maybe it may become a good resource to backtrack into for myself or for new riders looking for assistance.

I will post up the videos here. I have never Vlogged before so its really weird to me. I should get used to it.

Before any build, I always love to do a thorough machine check.

Nice vid.. but did you really mean it's a 2017 model? If so, that guy rode the crap out of it putting on 9k miles in a few weeks/months.
Is that your garage? sheez. You have your own gas station too? hahaha.
I'm gonna drag you out with Russ (LA Thumper) and we're going to a "DRs attack Rowher" run in a couple weeks. Get those tires off there. I really like the D606 rear. It's wearing really well for a 'mostly' dirt tire.

HAHA I'm the Suspension Engineer and R&D Manager at my work so I have keys to my work's R&D department. Which means all my projects are built and stored there lol.

I would love to join you guys, Rowher was the last place I went with my china bike before picking up the DR. I'd love to compare and contrast the two bikes.

I opted for a tire that last a tid bit more on the highway, I've got some Kenda K270s on order. I've also got the following on the road:

Suzuki Seal Retainer
Maxxis Ultra Thick Inner Tubes
Tusk Handlebar Guards
Shorty levers
Progrip 3 layer grips
Bar end mirrors for a diy low profile setup
Acerbis Supermoto Front Fender
Slim turn signals.

I need to inspect the NSU screws, but a lot of me is telling me to just get a new clutch and do it all at the same time. I'm also speaking with my networks for acquiring front and rear springs that will fit and are the correct rate. I need to look into the front fork design, maybe I can modify or revise the original. Or just do the tried and tested emulators.

Before that though, I'm itching to ride it already.
