Aerostich is my go to stuff. Spendy up front but in the long run will save you money. As long as you don't slide it down the road it will last decades and 100's of thousands of miles. If you do slide down the road Aerostich is second IMO only to high end leather riding gear. Its good stuff but it costs.

Roadcrafter! if you look at Aerostich site they have documentation that cordura beats leather in abrasion tests.

Sorry I don't have $700 to buy a jacket that's how much I can spend on all my gear. That's over 25% of what a good Drz goes for

I use a Fly Patrol jacket, they are about $150 on Amazon. It has great adjustable ventilation which is important down here in sunny Florida, have never used the zip off sleeve feature it has. It doesn't have built in armor which I don't really like since it never sits where you need it when you need it, instead I wear strap on armor under the jacket. I also have the matching pants and I think they were about $100. Both of these items are warm weather gear and not of much use when the temp drops below 40F, but for those 3 days of the year I have leather. The zipper pulls on Fly products just suck, they come off in my hands right when I need them, a small loop of para-cord solves that issue. I am cheap, don't ride super fast thru the bush and live in the humid south so this gear suits my needs for the price, YMMV... :bumps:

The bigger question is can you afford gear of lesser quality?

My Roadcrafter jacket was $575.00 and a couple weeks back while sliding across some 2B modified at about 30 MPH that jacket was money well spent. If I weren't; wearing it or lesser quality gear I'd have been in the ER getting gravel dug out of my back & elbows and getting stitched up. As it were I got up dusted off and the jacket was dusty and fully intact. More importantly my hide was intact with just a few small abrasions. All of a sudden $575.00 became quite inexpensive
