Are you interested in hearing about gear in all price ranges or gear in a specific price range? Boots alone have a price range that can easily span $1,000 from low to high.

Also using the search tool at the top of each page will find all kinds of reviews, opinions and thoughts about all sorts of gear.

I want to buy pants for no more then $150, but may look on ebay for more expensive ones that are used and may get a deal on. Also if I wear a say alpinestars bionic jacket and a shirt over it can you, wear another jacket over that and what kind I have never wore any of this stuff. Pictures will help if you have them. Also I would want to spend $150 on boots but again I may try to find more expensive ones used in ebay for cheap.

With the little to no information you have given us it is all but impossible to make suggestions.

What is your riding style? Single track, fire roads, street commuter....
Do you want summer gear or winter gear? Be advised no gear does it all.
Do you need/want waterproof?
Do you like textile, leather or synthetic materials?
How hard are you actually going to use this gear?

Cycle gear has some great cost effective alternatives. For example I bought a pair of riding pants and a jersey for a dual sport ride for less than $100. For the 1 or 2 true dual sport rides I'll do a year they all the quality I need. If I were racing or doing lots of dual sport rides I spend the money on some better longer lasting stuff.

I want something that is good in both hot and cool weather, I live in Wisconsin so we ride in 50 degree to 95degree days although there are only a handful of those. Something that has a removable liner, with vents, I like textile or synthetic, and it's for dual sport rides. Trails mainly but will hold up on the road as you have to ride to the trails
