Seems like all the SoCal DR riders are located in LA.

Anyone near Santa Barbara/Carpinteria ?

Can't recall who, but wasn't there a forum local from Ventura?

I am in Nipomo, about 90 minutes north of SB. I ride through SB all the time on the 154. I'm usually riding my Shadow 750, because my DR is down for the count at the moment. (http://drriders.com/topic19346.html)

I have met 2 other guys in Nipomo. Dave and Randy both live about 2 miles from me. I was able to meet up with Dave to get some parts. I am trying to get together with Randy, but our schedules have not synced.

@Todd157k is listed in Ventura.

Yup.. but the only dirt I know that is even close to the area is Paradise Rd. off the 154. They open/close the gates frequently so I haven't bothered exploring the area. I'm game whenever you guys want to give it a go, but I'll probably truck the DR up there.

I'm in Bakersfield, but I'm willing to travel a bit for a good ride.

I'm going to try and venture out a little when I get back from vacation and get some new tires on the bike. Maybe we can schedule something for the end of January.

:bumps: May be a bit of a long ride to Rowher flats, but may be worth it (SB to TO about 40 minutes, TO to Rowher about 40 minutes)
Usually get there between 9:30 and 10Am Try to go Sat. some times due to other schedules it's Sunday. :2_thumbsup:

Do you know the trail from the 33 to divine peak? Also would like to explore the area by Matillija Lake by forest rd. :5 N13 Hear there are trails off of it.

There is also another single track from divine peak to ? (saw it once on line , but can't find it)

Also heard that in the winter they close some of those areas (don't know witch ones).

Also there is a site called http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/ in case anyone wants to know.

Happy trails :Roost:

I took a ride out to Colson Canyon today via the 166. Unfortunately, due to the rain, the gate was closed. I looked over the trail map and it looks to be a pretty nice ride though the Los Padres National Forest. It would be nice to explore that with someone local.

That's what i though, a lot off does area's are closed in the winter.

Have heard but never found the trail from camino ciello to divine peak, have you?

Also won't be riding for a few weeks, do to shoulder ACL. was almost healed but made the mistake of riding to soon.
This type I need to let it all heal properly (good time for it in away with the rain, and parts closed up there).

Check out : http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/ it's a cool site :2_thumbsup: lots of info. on off-road & mx areas across the nation.

best regards
