How about a separate feedback section to go hand in hand with the wanted/for sale section. Enabling forum members to post feedback on good/bad sellers, sellers that are prompt or slow with getting the item shipped out etc.

Would this fit in the Vendors area or separate?

A separate section, so a forum member can quickly check feedback to maybe help determine if they want to make a transaction with with another forum member. It's nice to see others experiences. Nice to know if a seller's item was "as advertised" or less than honest.

This is true, and personl circumstances may prevent something from getting shipped out in a timely fashion. This is understandable. It would be nice to know if this kind of thing is a pattern from a particular seller though, especially if time constraints are important to you.

There may also be those that register here or on sites just like this, with the sole purpose of taking advantage of others. Look what craigslist has become. It used to be a great way to advertise items free of charge, now it's home to scammers, spammers, meth heads selling stolen property and thieves.

Just read thru this again. Somehow missed "member to member" :geek:

I guess it could be helpful but I'd imagine a post within the "for sale" individual item thread/listing might suffice. With the personalities on here, I'd imagine a second listing by a low quality seller would be followed by several posts referencing their lineage.

I can't imagine but a VERY small percentage of deals gone sideways from the group here....and as you mentioned, most likely from an oversight or unforeseen problem.

it's a good idea, seeing as tech had a hard time trusting me after I "came out of nowhere". Maybe even a rating system, but you'd have to make it to where users can only rate other users once. Or you could make it to where you can only rate after a certain number of posts. I suppose a subforum in the buy wanted section could do the trick. Where they can post how trustworthy people are, and people could explain themselves. I don't really know. I'm still just a "noob" here.

We have ironed out the issues, and this is why I think a feedback section would be a great addition.

I placed add and these were my concerns with the transaction

1.) New member that responded had a join date of only a few days before I placed my add

2.) New members activity (6 posts) has been in the "wanted/for sale" forum only.

3.) Screen name threw up red flags...(to me anyway) I would feel foolish if I ended up being taken advantage of by a youngster with a screen name like "Krhymefox"

I promised this young man If the transaction went well I would post positive feedback for him. I will live up to my promise. I suppose I will leave it in the wanted/for sale section and hope other members will be able to find it if and when they need it. :good:

 too bad I'm honest. Which over the internet doesn't translate into much. But all is well, you will see when you get the package. I'm just hoping they don't damage it in transit.

It should be OK. The biggest WTF was your screen name.
