Hi is it possible that you can make it easier/possible to post photos on here I use my phone to access this forum and anything else I look at as I don't own a computer as a lot of people do these days the phone dose it all. I have wanted to post photos many time but it's just way to confusing/impossible to do so!! This is the only forum or website that I can't figure out how to post a picture it should be easy but it's not! And after speaking to others on here I'm not the only one! This is a Great Forum!! I love it But PLEASE fix this PROBLEM
Cheers

It's not broken, it's a free forum, disk space issue. Host your pics on Smugmug, Google or some other hosting site and then post links to the photos on here. Pretty simple.

You have stumbled upon a consequence of using only a phone. Chalk it up to the current state of technology which does not yet make it as easy to use a phone as a computer for every purpose on the Internet. This could change tomorrow, or perhaps advancing technology will ensure that computers as we know them will always be a more dynamic tool for general use than a phone, which of course is a small computer. The phpBB software used here has limitations, but our administrator would know if a change in settings might make the forum more friendly to portable devices.

So by easy you mean some sort of right click style context menu on your phone that says post to DRRiders? Something like that would require a mobile version of the forum software. Doubtful that's in the near future if ever.

Our file attachment option at the bottom of the reply/post window is the simplest option to send from you phone's file system. :good: You can select inline or as a link. Not as cool looking as an outside hosted picture.... but it works without too much fanfare.

Posted from my phone...

Must be just me then as I can't figure it out on here . Unfortunately I'm just going to have to not worry about posting anything on here apart from comments as I just can't see where or how to post anything. Must be just me.
Thanks anyway guy's

Maybe it's just your phone? All you have to do(normally) is scroll down below the input box you used to reply to this message... there will be another box that is titled "upload attachment" It's the very next thing below the button you pushed to post this note. Click on the "choose file" button to find the picture on your device that you want to post. Once you've found the picture you want to post click on the "Add the file" button. There is an option to either place the picture inline... everyone sees it whether they want to or not... :-) or you can post it as a link. We request inline images to be 800x800 Meaning the maximum height or width is 800... ie 600 x 800 or 800 x 600, etc. If you post it as a link you can go full scale... but if it's too big and people have to scroll just to see the image they will mostly not bother to look at the picture you are so proud of. I'm willing to work with you through PM or email to get you on the right track to showing us your pictures... we like that! :good:
