Does anyone have a solution for replacing the footrest and footpads? One of mine got mangled when I got hit by a car. They're tough to come by on ebay and I'd also like to see if there's a way to change it up. I'm converting mine for street (not hyper, just regular street) and there doesn't seem to be much out there.

Thanks for you input

Pegs that fit 96+ should also fit the early models. I've looked at Pivot Pegz before and the same part number is used for 1990 to now.

If you are referring to the brackets/mounts, then there are no options that I know of. There are lots of early model DR parts available from Europe. These are in Germany:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/112202356113

http://www.ebay.com/itm/112202365073

About 40 bucks (including freight) for the pair is a pretty good price.

Thanks! Ended up heating mine up and bending them back. Need to find a replacement spring thought...

Anyone know of options to lower, and/or move the stock footpegs back?

The only way is to cut and weld, which is what I did.

I used low hydrogen rods for the initial welds (great penetration, but ugly) then
finished then off with the Mig.

Post 96 footpeg's will not fit the previous 96.
I have a 92 and found a pair of pegs but the hole layout is different
So I have an extra set of posy 96 pegs
