Cool project. An "Enduro" camping van or something is on my wish list.

:2_thumbsup:

Sorry for the delayed response, yes it is insulated and I love it. The bus doors are cool, the only problem I see is when they break.....where he hell do I buy parts for them?

I just missed a 2005 Sprinter for $2500, needed A/C work and probably had some injector and fuel pump issues but I believe we could have resurrected it... Gotta keep on looking.

Sounds like a passenger rig is the best starting point for a conversion would you agree? Maybe not enough insulation though?

after learning about these, if you dont have a real sprinter tech you know and trust and has the OEM Mercedes tooling that the dealers in the US are not capable of obtaining i would never buy a non running one or one needing work. a well maintained running vehicle can give you over a million miles of good times, a problematic one may not even make it to shop. I have my old 2005 for sale if you are looking for one. shoot me a PM if you are interested. ill even be glad to give you a list of things to look for if you are going to look at one. i love my sprinters and couldn't imagine owning anything else.

if you are looking for one to stay in and not just haul a passenger model is the ticket, mine is insulated very well. on the flip side you loose a lot of space for hauling bikes.
