This is where you want to go to know gearing and tire size related RPM info for the DR650 (and many, many others) This data base has late and early model DR650 ratio info data ready to select for our machines!

Great site, it helped me determine what rear sprocket and front sprockets I wanted in order to have options with simple front gear change/rear axle adjustment.
Went with a 45T rear and 14/15/16 front. Gives me good off road to stock highway range. 3.2/3.0/2.8(stock)
3.2 (14/45) is GREAT for off road, Jessie recommended lower with a 48T rear but I drive too much road/highway for a 48 to be practical at this time. Also requires different rear lower chain guard. My stock one rubs with the 45T.
3.0 (15/45) is great for every day riding.
2.8 (16/45) is near stock and great for highway trips.
