Merged... :good:

Sorry LostInPA... I'm unable to move your first post to the top of the list... all posts are date driven in order.

I sentence you to 5 beers and a pack of grilled bratwurst.

A Foodsaver or Seal-a-Meal goes a long way when pre-packing for your trip. Measure a portion of beef stew or chili into a vacuum bag, run it through the machine and then freeze it. Toss it into your kit when you leave town, and then heat it in boiling water that night. Keeps perishables cool in your bag by acting as an ice-block, and the meal can be eaten right out of the bag.

Good idea. :2_thumbsup: I have a very small soft cooler bag around. Hold like a 6 pavk of cans. Aside from beer, I bet I could use it for something like this.

I like simple food pleasures sometimes. First night out is frito pie. 2 snack sized bags of fritos, slit lengthwise. Heat 1 can of chilli and pour in the two bags. Delicious !

That actually sounds really good!

If you google prison recipes you'll get all kinds of good stuff like that and creative ramen concoctions.

The worst / weirdest ramen I made was:

1 package oriental ramen
A handful of cheese curls
A couple big dollops of peanut butter
Half a snack bag of peanuts

Don't judge. I was at military school. Food was scarce. Pot luck for real.

Location: Where there is hope there is cake. And there is always cake.
If anybody reads Mens health magazine
There is an article called
A man A can and a plan.
Lots of great meal ideas from canned food items.
Can be well adapted to the camp kitchen

Cheers
Timmy
