I have these for summer wear:

and these for cooler weather:

You can't beat that price either!

Way to go, these cooler weather gloves are awesome! And for $19 it is a steal. They only had large left and I usually require an XL but I ordered the large and they fit perfect. Now I am considering getting the shorter version too. Great recommendation. :yahoo: Thank you.

Maybe a bit off topic...I keep a pair or two of thin rubber (surgical) gloves in my cold weather jacket pocket. Throw them on under my summer gloves on cool mornings then take them off when it warms up. Keeps the wind out and the heat in. Good for rainy days too.

But no matter what, I would never ride without gloves, its just my preference, but in my experiences over the years, the hands are the first thing to either get hit, or hit the ground, and you dont want your hands rashed up.

I agree the mechanics gloves are comfy and breath good, but they wouldn't last a half second sliding on asphalt. Same with mx gloves. Get some street gloves if you really want protection.

+1 to both of these.

Leather gloves are the only way to go.. no way am i having some one else wipe my butt while my hands are healing.

Icon gauntlet (?)

Have had these gloves for 6 years now, and have never given me any problems.
Not too hot in the summer, and decent in the winter.
Luckily have not had to crash test them; with titanium plates & studs, kevlar insides and leather skin, they look like they'd hold up in a crash/slide. And they're a 10 on the bling scale too.

Nice choice sikhed. Yeah, I'm a big fan of leather racing gauntlet style gloves for the street. Although I have gone with thin motorcross gloves when its really hot, or I'm not going full gear and just skipping around town. Those look bad ass though. :good:

If it wasn't for the gauntlet leather gloves I was wearing during my Saturday mishap my left hand would be hamburger on top of a broken left arm. :s_omg As it is my hand is fine but the gloves have expired after serving their purpose. :good:

There's a hand survival lesson right there. I went down in a fast low side in Deals Gap back in 2001 and I was in full head to toe leathers and if it wasn't for the gauntlet gloves I too wouldve suffered major hand damage. But instead, I got up, brushed off, peeled the GSXR off the side of the mountain and continued to ride.

Being an oldtimer I've never become addicted to a glove-fetish . --- When I started riding (in the early 1950s) there wasn't much to choose from ; so I used heavy welding-gloves . In the mean-time I acquired two more "bike-specific" types : 1.) Fake-fur- or pile-lined leather-snowmobile-gloves (not mittens) with "heavy" gauntlets for cold-weather-riding and 2.) a pair of "light" Suzuki riding-gloves with knuckle-protectors for the warm season . --- I wouldn't even have bothered with these if they wouldn't have been given to me (a dozen years ago) when I purchased another Suzuki-product . --- For allround-use and reasonable protection I'd recommend heavy (sturdy) welding-gloves . --- If IMAGE is important , splurge ; --- impress everybody with your "professionalism" and buy "real" motorcycle-gloves . --- With all the studs and plates on them they'd serve well for "extra-curricular" activities as well ; you wouldn't need to carry brass-knuckles . --- Lol --- For the price of 1 pair of "professional" gloves you could buy approx. 10 pairs of heavy (thick leather) welding-gloves . They have served me well during 58 years of biking . --- Take your pick , it's your money ! -----Cheers :drinks:
