Not exactly whisper quiet

The twin shock idea is to 1.) look vintage but also 2.) to accommodate an occasional passenger. With a monoshock, an extended passenger seat would extend the butt of the bike way too high to be visually appealing IMO. There were one or two in this thread that pulled it off decently, but it still looks a little off to me.

If you went with twin shocks, granted the limited travel, I think with a shorter tank, and a brat/scrambler flat seat, you could squeeze a passenger on the bike and still be visually balanced. Maybe.

I built a Suzuki Savage into a mild scrambler for my wife recently, and we can both fit on board. But the motor just lacks the punch for 2up fun. A 790 DR would have plenty of kick. I'm keeping my eyes open for a DR deal to chop up...

Jag, your bike is absolutely killer. I've followed your thread in ADV for a long time. Great work.

It's definitely "user" grade, meaning it's not ultra clean and it's not going to win any competitions.

This is where true beauty resides - the cute albeit rough-lined girl next door is way more fun than those clean cut ultra well defined super models (ok, maybe motogp's Iannone's girl could be an exception...) :dirol:

I don't have much in the way of glamour shots, but here's a user grade pic after a local dual sport ride:

Almost the same angle as before but all cleaned up:
