I know their top guys were all killed in a plane wreck last year, and I dont see any new news on their website. If you havent checked out their bikes take a minute to check out their website. Pay special attention to weight and HP outputs. The 950 desert x is b@d@$$!

Their phone goes straight to VM. The investor relations guy says they haven't worked with Highland in 18 months & their last stock sale on NASDAQ was at 20 cents/share.

I'm thinking their done unless someone scoops up the brand. Too bad as I was really looking forward to their offerings.

I checked my 401k......don't have enough to kick this off....and my wife doesn't want to move to Oklahoma.

The Highland story is a true American tragedy. Not to over dramatize it ... but Highland really could have been a success. Imagine if a guy like Eric Buell hooked up with them? Eric has the juice to bring in capital and interest world wide. Eric could have used that Swedish (Husaberg engineers) designed V-twin in his race bikes ... then possibly expanded it into dirt, race and Adventure bikes. Highland do the motor ... Eric & company perfect the chassis (something he is very good at)

Most don't know just how long Highland were around in Sweden before they came to the USA ... and don't know the Husaberg connection. I remember first reading about Highland over 10 years ago. Over the years the design evolved and improved, and is said to be one of the most advanced V-twins ever produced ... by anyone. Now? Looks like it's all lost.
