Screens for Bikes in Melbourne Vic makes a nice windshield.

http://www.screensforbikes.com/

Mine is on now but I still need to run it in calm air to get a better idea how well it performs.
So far lots of gusty days so here's a shot of it, I like the shape a lot and it mounts easily.
Peter at SFB is great to deal with, super nice vendor. A few people here are using his DR screen.

For those of you looking to build custom wheel sizes or lace spokes to a stock hub.

I posted this in the suspension upgrade thread but though it might be good to put it here too.

Suspensions by Sasquatch

The guy's name is Jay Jobes.

I know of a number of guys that had their V-Strom shocks done by him and they are very happy. I sent him an email to ask if he does the DR shock and his response follows:
------------------------------------------------------------

I do Jim, and it is a bit cheaper than the V-Strom.

You are looking at about $350 for a complete rebuild, revalve and new spring all tuned to your riding style and loads carried. Turn around time is about 5 days.

------------------------------------------------------------
I hope the info helps someone out.

Ok I wrote out a longer post before but I accidently closed the tab so this'll be short.
Parabellum makes a really cool looking big touring windshield for the DR650.

Eagle Screens in Australia also makes a touring windshield for the dr650, as well as smaller sizes.

I'll be curious to see how this screen works out, and how tall are you? I'd tried a different larger screen, which buffeted the hell out of my helmet and would blow my shirt up.

Kevin over at Twistedthrottle.com has a section dedicated to the 96-up DR650. Lots of cool items to add to your FARKLE list... I found this new throttle lock to be pretty interesting for those that do not use bark busters....
